Somatic I Mind-Body I Yoga Therapy

Somatic therapy is a holistic approach to mental health that focuses on the connection between the body and mind. It recognizes that trauma, stress, and emotional pain can be stored in the body, and aims to help individuals process these experiences through physical awareness and movement.

In somatic therapy, techniques may include breathwork, movement, touch, and mindfulness practices to help clients become more attuned to their bodily sensations and emotions. The idea is that by releasing physical tension and becoming more aware of the body, individuals can gain insights into their emotional experiences, leading to healing and transformation.

Therapists trained in somatic approaches often create a safe space for clients to explore their feelings and physical sensations, helping them to integrate their emotional experiences in a more embodied way. This can be especially beneficial for those dealing with trauma, anxiety, or chronic stress.

Shae is a board certified Yoga Therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapists and has worked with clients since 2020 to create somatic experiences for healing, growth and transformation in men, women and children.

personal training

Personal training is a fitness service where a certified trainer works one-on-one with clients to help them achieve their health and fitness goals. This can include weight loss, muscle building, improved athletic performance, or overall wellness.

A personal trainer typically assesses a client’s current fitness level, discusses their goals, and creates a tailored workout plan. Sessions often involve guided workouts, where the trainer provides instruction on exercise techniques, monitors form, and offers motivation and support.

In addition to physical training, personal trainers may also provide nutritional advice, lifestyle coaching, and strategies for maintaining motivation. The personalized attention helps clients stay accountable and can lead to more effective and sustainable results.

Ayurveda wellness Counseling

Ayurveda is an ancient system of lifestyle medicine that originated in India over 5,000 years ago. It focuses on holistic wellness, emphasizing the balance between the body, mind, and spirit. It incorporates key principles like the doshas (energy systems in the body), nutrition and diet tailored to your dosh, lifestyle practices like stress reduction and yog, herbal remedies like triphala and nasya oil, tumeric and ginger; at-home detoxifiction and professional detoxification, and the mind-body connection for mental and emotional well-being. Techniques such as meditation, yoga, and breathing exercises (pranayama) are integral for fostering mental clarity and emotional stability.

By focusing on individualized approaches and natural therapies, Ayurveda aims to promote long-term health and prevent illness, making it a valuable system for holistic wellness.

Reiki & Energy healing

Energy medicine involves natural and holistic approaches to balance and re-balance energy in the body. Energy medicine is a holistic approach to health and healing that focuses on the energy systems of the body. It is based on the idea that the body has an intrinsic energy field, and that imbalances or disruptions in this energy can lead to physical, emotional, or spiritual issues.

We offer this through Tibetan and Usui Holy Fire Reiki, Tibetan Sound Healing and sound bath, healing touch (always optional) and aromatherapy. This can even be done from a distance via zoom. There are so many conditions that this is helpful for. Here are some key aspects of energy medicine. Practitioners often look at the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—recognizing that emotional and mental health can significantly impact physical health.

While energy medicine can be used alone, it is often integrated with other healing modalities, such as conventional medicine, psychotherapy, and holistic therapies.

Sound Healing

Sound healing is a therapeutic practice that uses sound vibrations to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. This holistic approach is based on the idea that sound can influence the body’s energy systems, helping to release tension, reduce stress, and facilitate healing. While there is growing interest and anecdotal evidence supporting sound healing, scientific research is still evolving. Some studies suggest that sound therapy can have positive effects on stress, pain management, and emotional health.

Sound waves can create vibrations that resonate with the body, promoting relaxation and healing. Different frequencies may affect different parts of the body and mind. We use multiple tools both instruments and audio to create your experience. This is often paired with other sessions, time permitting. This may help with stress reduction, emotional release, physical healing and enhanced meditation and focus to reach altered states of consciousness.

Thaiyoga Bodywork

Thai yoga bodywork, is a traditional healing practice that combines elements of yoga, acupressure, and meditation. Originating in Thailand, this bodywork technique is designed to promote physical and mental well-being through a unique approach to assisted stretching and supportive movement.

It may involve gentle, rhythmic stretching techniques to improve flexibility and release tension in the muscles. This resembles yoga postures and can enhance mobility. We may apply gentle pressure to specific points along the energy lines to release blockages and stimulate energy flow and using gentle compression to apply gentle pressure to various parts of the body, promoting relaxation and alleviating muscle tension.

Most often combined with other session styles for a really indulgent experience!

Cards, Intuition and Mentoring

I offer intuitive guidance to client through Spiritual Mentoring, Life and Health Coaching, and as a Therapeutic Life Mentor, this involves offering guidance but also assisting clients to develop their own intuitive abilities and learning to connect with and trust the messages they receive.

We may use oracle or tarot cards, energy work, conversation and dialogue and other techniques to explore the nature of your challenge and uncover new ways of looking at it and moving through it. We can also help you develop your own self-care practices to improve overall physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
