licensing & Code of Ethics.
When it comes to mental health, behavioral health and even modern medicine, there are both licensed and unlicensed practitioners.
Professional licensure can help ensure that individuals in specialized fields are qualified, competent, and ethical in their practices. It protects the public, maintains high standards within professions, and fosters trust and credibility. Licensure is required for professions that carry a risk to the client/patient, such as Clinical Psychology and Medical practitioners who diagnose and treat specific illness.
While licensure requirements can vary by profession and jurisdiction, the underlying goal is to safeguard the quality and integrity of professional services. In addition to professional licensure, many organizations also offer a code of ethics that practitioners are required to adhere to protect themselves and their clients.
We are providing this information to educate potential clients about Bliss and the services we are able to offer and where they fall in terms of licensure requirements and specific code of ethics for the services available.
There is currently no licensure requirements for any of the holistic therapy, coaching mentoring and healing arts services we offer. These are considered alternative and complementary medicine, holistic and natural. This also means that the profession and services we offer have been deemed not to present a significant risk to the client.
Despite the absence of licensure, we adhere to multiple Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibilities as set forth by our respective trainings as available.
