The Body is a Tool for transformation
Mind-Body & Somatic Therapy
If you are not bringing your body into the healing process, are you really healing as deeply as you can? Optimal healing occurs when we learn how to connect with, listen to, trust, and respond more effectively to the somatic experiences we have throughout our day from people, places and experiences. You can learn how to create a new relationship with your body to experience deeper healing, promote greater well-being and self-care, improve overall health and make your therapy and medical treatment work better! It can also be a powerful catalyst for empowerment, self-advocacy and self-regulation.
until you feel safe and connected to your body, healing is impossible
At Bliss we use yoga, personal training, dance and other body-based modalities to educate clients about the importance of the mind-body connection and specifically the body’s role in the healing process.
Shae is Board Certified Mind-Body Therapist and Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) through the International Association of Yoga Therapists, the governing body for yoga therapy education and credentialing since the 1980’s. She has trained with the Phoenix Rising School of Yoga Therapy as a Yoga Therapist, Certified Therapeutic Life Mentor and 300-Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher specializing in the Phoenix Rising Method, and an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer.
Through the Phoenix Rising School of Yoga Therapy, Shae had the great privilege to learn the magic of Mind-Body Therapy, Eight Themes of Transformation, and dive deeper into yoga and Buddhist philosophy, Neuroscience, Polyvagal Theory, Trauma informed care, breathwork, meditation, energy, and Ayurveda. She is board certified through the International Association of Yoga Therapists, the highest level of international recognition in this course of study and was also certified as a Therapeutic Life Mentor which allows for the clinical application of yoga in the treatment of mental health and medical health conditions (in tandem with your licensed provider) and offers clients a unique form of therapy that helps people navigate change but working from the inside out and continuing to use the body as a tool for transformation.
We step away from the traditional approach of talk therapy which requires alot of energy, talking, thinking and analyzing. It has it place but it is not the only way. Bliss Therapy™ is an excellent supplement to traditional therapy and psychotherapy.
Therapeutic Life Mentoring brings people into their bodies to support transformational change in a safe, judgment-free experience via telehealth or in-person. We help clients identify the fears, beliefs, and patterns that they are ready to shed, the aspects of their life that are no longer serving them, and to discover the truth of who they are and the life they truly wish to create and live.
As a therapist in this modality, I offer experiences for private clients, groups and couples working with clients as young as 13. I combine mind-body and somatic based therapy with a focus on the body as a vessel for connection, communication, and change. It is a very unique approach to therapy, healing, and personal growth.
Most people associate therapy with traditional talk therapy, counseling or psychotherapy. That is not the only “therapy” that can help you achieve the mental, physical, emotional, and energetic well-being you desire. And, it is a great complement if you are already working with a counselor or therapist.
Everyday new evidence is being revealed about the importance of incorporating the body into any process related to healing, mindset, and personal development. You do not need any experience with yoga. This modality can be used to increase self awareness, help make life decisions, manage emotions and life changes, build resilience and create self-care practices that can support you for your entire life.
Body Based Therapy, Mind-body Therapy, Yoga therapy and Therapeutic Life Mentoring are just one piece of the Bliss Therapy™ experience. Shae will design a program for each client, or group of clients, providing an integrative, trauma informed and client centered method to support transformational personal growth and development.
“I went to Shae to help unravel a variety of interrelated issues involving health, exercise, motivation and personal direction and by drawing on the tensions in my body and showing me the stretches to release them she has been able to guide me and my body into better answers and alignment.”

““We store experiences in our body – stress, memories, thoughts, and emotion. Using the body as a starting point, … we explore the connection between your mind and body, which leads to an awareness that can give you insight into your life.”
